Opens Aug 1st for previous Academy players and Aug 5th for all. Previous Academy players will receive an email to the registration form. The below link will be active August 05 at 8:00 am.

NEW: The KIBC is pleased to announce that we will be opening up our Mini sessions to players that are 4 years of age as of Oct 18 2025. We are firm on this cut-off date
We will also now be offering an Atom girls division.
Overview
The Mini program provides an entry-level basketball program for young children 4 to 7 years old by providing a fun, active and healthy learning environment.
New in 2025-2026
- We will be opening up Mini's to 4 year olds.
- We will split the players by age: Beginner 4/5 yrs & Intermediate 6/7 yrs.
Objectives
- Provide entry-level basketball program for young children 4 to 7 years old
- Build a community of league organizers, parents, coaches committed to minor basketball
- Provide a fun, active and healthy learning environment
Curriculum
- The Mini program runs once a week for approximately 45 minutes.
- Created in alliance with Canadian Sport 4 Life/Long Term Athlete Development initiatives.
- Aligned with Canada Basketball's Developmental Pathway
- Curriculum has been developed by NBA Basketball Operations and a team of experts in child development and physical literacy, and basketball fundamentals
- Games will be modified to be age-appropriate, simple and fun
Our Equipment & Uniform
- The Mini program includes age-appropriate equipment (smaller basketball and lowered adjustable hoops)
and modified games for children of this age-range.
