Overview
The Novice Boys program provides an entry-level basketball program for young male athletes 8 to 9 years old by providing a fun, active and healthy learning environment.
Objectives
- Provide an entry-level basketball program for male athletes 8 to 9 years old
- Aligned with Canada Basketball's Developmental Pathway and Canadian Sport 4 Life/Long Term Athlete Development initiatives
Program
- Fun drills & games with/without basketball developing fundamental movement skills
- 9 ft. baskets
- Encourage involvement from all
The program emphasizes skill development including competitive 5 on 5 games, but the focus will be developing the athlete's skills.
