2025-2026 registration opening:

  • August 1st for previous Academy players
  • August 8th open to all previous and new players

NEW: The KIBC is pleased to announce that we will be opening up our Mini sessions to players that are 4 years of age as of Oct 18 2025.  We are firm on this cut-off date

We will also now be offering an Atom girls division.

Overview

The Novice Girls program provides an entry-level basketball program for young female athletes 8 to 9 years old by providing a fun, active and healthy learning environment.

Objectives

  • Provide an entry-level basketball program for female athletes 8 to 9 years old
  • Aligned with Canada Basketball's Developmental Pathway and Canadian Sport 4 Life/Long Term Athlete Development initiatives

Program

  • Fun drills & games with/without basketball developing fundamental movement skills 
  • 9 ft. baskets
  • Encourage involvement from all

The program emphasizes skill development including 5 on 5 games, but the focus will be developing the athlete's skills.
