Competitive Team Fees 2023-24

New for 2023-24 Season

Starting in the 2023-24 season, competitive team fees will be required in FULL within 1 week of accepting an offer to a team and receiving the team fee invoice.

If the fees are not paid, athletes are not permitted to attend any team activities (practices, meetings, games, etc …) until the fees are paid in full.  If fees are not paid within 2 weeks of selection, then the player’s spot may be forfeited and could be filled by another player.

See the fees below for more details and exceptions.

Note:

  • In special circumstances, the club may assist with fees either through a payment plan or bursary if substantial financial need can be shown.   These requests MUST be sent to admin@kingstonimpact.ca  before the fees are due.

Included/Excluded

All player fees include:

  • A warmup jersey
  • All registration fees for Basketball Ontario which includes athlete insurance.
  • Use of Kingston Impact uniforms and equipment
  • Practice time
  • League/Tournament fees

Not included:

  • Travel expenses
  • Possible additional fees if your team decides to do more than the predefined expectations

Process

After a player accepts an offer to join a team:

  • The email that was used to register the player for tryouts will receive an electronic invoice for the team fee.
  • This fee is to be paid within 1 week of receiving it. IF not paid within 2 weeks of receiving it (or making alternate arrangement through our club administrator), the player may forfeit their position on the roster.
  • Prior to receiving their uniform, each player must provide a $200 uniform deposit. This can be by post dated cheque (June 1st, 2024) or cash.  This will be given to your coach or team manager. When the uniform is returned at the end of the season, the deposit will be returned or the cheque will be destroyed.

A couple of important notes:

  1. Players under the age of 18 are not permitted to register through Sports Engine for tryouts.  A parent must register a player for consent and to receive the invoice for fees.
  • If a player 18 years or older chooses to register for tryouts, the invoice will be sent to their email address, and THEY will be responsible for making payment(s)
  • For the High Performance teams where fees are substantially higher.
    • Fees will be billed in installments.  The first $1000 is due one week after receiving the initial invoice.  The second installment of $1000 will be billed November 1st, and any outstanding amount, will be billed in the final installment, February 1st, 2024.
    • These installments must be paid within one week of receiving the invoice or the player is ineligible to continue participating in team activities.  If they are not paid within two weeks, the player may forfeit their spot on the team.
