Teams Completes Undefeated OBA Run with Championship

The U19 Boys team set a new standard for Kingston Impact by capturing the Division 1 Provincial Championship in Scarborough.

Entering the tournament as the number one seed,  these Grade 11 and 12 boys players,  representing seven high schools (Lasalle, Frontenac, Sydenham, KC, Regi, Arnprior district high school, Picton Collegiate),  worked their way through pool play undefeated.  After wins over Belleville, Nepean and Etobicoke, the boys narrowly defeated Ottawa Next Level by three points, before having the opportunity to face the Etobicoke Thunder again.

Using stifling man-to-man defense, solid rebounding, and a potent offense, the team finished their weekend with a 72-57 victory.

All players should be commended for their contributions over the weekend.

Team Members include:

Cole Syllas, Luca Syllas, Jerred Kinstler, Logan Elliot, Landon Elliot, Toban Bradlyn, Alex Vreeken, Brodie Byford, Colin Bowman, Evan Desarmia, Ben Shovellor

Coaches : Head Coach Rom Severino stepped in for Jermaine Small,  (Edmonton), Assistant Coaches – Greg Faulkner, Seth Barling
