With the start of July, usually the Kingston Impact are wrapping up spring competitive basketball and opening up online registration for the upcoming new Jr Gaels season which traditionally starts in September. Unfortunately, like with everything else, this is not a normal year.

Canada Basketball and Ontario Basketball recently provided guidelines for returning to the court.

The Impact are reviewing them and working with our partners as well as local health experts to determine how we can return to the court in a safe manner.

As of right now, there are still many questions, many of which are outside our control especially related to facility access.

Without knowing the answers to those questions, we are unable to commit to any firm plans at the present time.

Our hope is that we will be able to run some form of Jr Gaels and Competitive programs during the 2020-2021 season but how it will work and when it will begin is not determined at this time.

We expect more information to be available to us in mid August.

Once we receive that information, we will be able to plan our seasons to minimize the safety risks for our athletes, coaches and families.

We will NOT post Jr Gaels registration or Competitive tryout schedules until then.
