The competitive portion of the Kingston Impact is moving forward with an outdoor fall development program for our teams.

These “training pods” will focus on skill development within the health parameters that have been established by Basketball Canada, the Ontario Basketball Association , and our local Health Unit. Presently these parameters outline a “Drop off, and go” structure to sessions, and  allow for individual work with a basketball, and that athletes are able to pass to each other, however there will be no live play.

Athletes, who have not played in the Impact Competitive Program, but have had significant basketball experience through other local programs, and have a desire to learn and train are invited to attend an evaluation session on September 19, 2020.

Performance at these evaluation sessions will be graded and invitations to join an age and gender appropriate Training Pod will be offered to athletes depending on the space available in each age group.

To be involved in this evaluation session, athletes must register online via this link:

Register for evaluation session

By registering your child, you will secure a spot for the session on Saturday, September 19th (rain date Sunday, September 20th).

Following this workout, training pods will be posted on the Kingston Impact website, and coaches will contact families of these players with information concerning future workouts.

This workout and these sessions are an evaluation period.

Invitations to attend the actual tryouts for teams will be held once indoor facilities become available, and the Ontario Basketball Association allows for live play in practices.

The deadline for registering is Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020.

A fee of $15 per athlete will be charged to cover the cost of insuring athletes.

All evaluation sessions will be held at Shannon's Corners Court, 2400 Perth Rd, Glenburnie, ON K0H 1S0.

Athletes must be dropped off at the East Wagner Road side of the park. This can be accessed by turning south off of Unity Road onto Wagner Road. Pick up should occur immediately following the session in the East parking lot that can be accessed off of Perth Road.

PLEASE DO NOT REMAIN ON SITE, AS THIS IS A DROP AND GO SESSION IN ORDER TO COMPLY WITH COVID-19 GUIDELINES.
