Kingston's Maggie Besselink will don the Team Ontario colors for the first time this summer as a member of Ontario's U17 Women's Provincial team.

The Holy Cross S.S. student, who was also invited to tryout for the U17 Women's National Team, will cap off a season of travel by participating in the National Championship's being held in Fredericton, NB. This will cap a summer of travel for Maggie, as the provincial team also competed in Chicago and Washington as they prepped for Nationals.

This event follows an excellent club and school season for the 16 year old, who won an OFSAA medal in the fall, and a Bronze medal during the Junior Elite League of Ontario (JUEL) season.

At the nationals, Maggie helped lead Ontario to a gold medal. Her performance over the course of the week resulted in her being named the MVP of the tournament.
