The Kingston Impact U19 Women's Basketball Team captured gold this past weekend at the GCBA 23rd Annual Mike O'Connor Memorial Tournament. We had a slow start in our first game vs Etobicoke Rams but were able to pull off a 16 point win. The next two games we won with a 20 point or more differential. This point differential was needed to secure us a spot in the Gold Medal Game against the Nepean Blue Devils. Off to a rocky start in the first quarter we were down 10 -1. However, we were able to implement the three key words that the guest speaker at the Opening Ceremonies, Fabienne Blizzard, spoke about:  Defense, energy, and fun.  These words were key to us winning a very close game which ended with a 37-35 win!!!
